Fotang Ancient Town

Fotang ('Buddha Hall') was the canal port that made Yiwu rich, and its old town survives as a living museum: merchant mansions, stone bridges, and teahouses along the river that carried the region's goods.

It is tourist-light and genuinely local - the steamed buns and wonton shops on the main street have served three generations. Combine with a morning at the Trade Mart for the full Yiwu story.
