Shapowei is what happens when a working fishing port decides to get artsy: the old boats still dock at one end, and at the other, warehouse studios, vintage shops, and coffee roasters spill along the water. It is the youngest, loosest district in Xiamen.
Wander the lanes, catch a sunset from the elevated walkway, and end at a balcony bar above the harbor. The mix of rusty trawlers and latte art is the whole point.
Best for: Fishing boats and latte art on the same waterfront.
